I honestly did not expect this dish to be so good. It really was delicious.

That being said, there are a few things I would change.

The hamburger mixture was great. The taste was indeed amazing. I think perhaps making it a combination of hamburger and Italian sausage would make it awesome. I think using the Italian sausage would give it a more authentic feel.

Stuffing the noodles was tricky to say the least. I am sure they sell larger rigatoni noodles. If I had found larger noodles, the process would have been immensely easier.

For the noodles I had, I used a pastry bag to stuff them. The meat mixture did not want to go through the tip of the bag.

I removed the tip and still had trouble.

Ultimately, I had to process the mixture in a food processor to get it to pipe into the noodles. Again, if I had larger noodles, I probably wouldn’t have had this problem.

I did arrange the cooked noodles so that they were standing up in the casserole. This gave the dish a lovely look. I also felt it was a little easier to stuff the noodles, once I got the mixture to the correct consistency.

The sauce poured over top soaks into the noddles and meat mixture. I do think it needed a touch more sauce, but it was still good as it was.

This recipe was a big hit with the family. I do think we will be making it again!
