Weird Cookies

These cookies start out pretty normal.

The brown sugar gives the cookies a nice color and a rich sugar flavor.

The egg yolks coats the tops of the cookies which allows the sugar to stick nicely. This also helps hold the cherry slices in place.

The strange part of this recipe is the corn flakes. I don’t think I have ever made cookies with corn flakes in them before.

You can definitely taste the corn flakes. It is kind of strange to be honest.

The cereal does add a bit of crunch. But, it also tastes like corn flakes.

The sugar and cherry slices on top add some much needed flavor.

I’m just not sure if I liked them. There were strange.
