Too Much Butter!

I never thought those words would pass my lips, or my typing fingers for that matter! How could you ever have too much butter?

Well, unfortunately, pouring the butter over the batter made the bread too soft, almost doughy.

It did seemed to be cooked through, but it was soggy because of the butter.

The taste was similar to Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits. But without the garlic.

So I would make this again, but with half the butter. I think that would do the trick and make this a lovely bread.

EASY CHEESE BREAD

½ Cup Milk

1 Egg, Beaten

1 ½ Cups Biscuit Mix

2 Tablespoons Chopped Parsley

1 Tablespoon Chopped Onion

1 Cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

½ Cup Butter, Melted

Combine milk and egg. Add biscuit mix, parsley, onion and ½ cup cheese. Pour into greased 9” round pan. Pour melted butter over the top and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
