Thirty Minute Dinner

This dish reminds me of Hamburger Helper. Everything in one pot, pretty basic ingredients, and cooks up in no time.

We ate a lot of hamburger helper growing up. It was cheap and easy, especially for my mother who was not a great cook.

I promised myself that I would never make Hamburger Helper for my family. It really isn’t all that great and it’s full of preservatives. I try really hard to not use anything from a box.

So this was an interesting recipe. It has the quick and easy feel of a boxed meal, but way more flavor.

I used a simple egg noodle. They noodles cooked wonderfully in the very short amount of time.

The tomato juice was interesting. It gave the dish a nice tomato sauce and the flavor soaked into the noodles.

The sour cream blends well with the leftover tomato juice and gives the dish a very creamy texture.

If you are looking for a quick, easy, and tasty one dish meal - this will fit the bill!
