Cottage cheese seems to have been used a lot in the MidCentury recipes I have made. I would have never thought to add cottage cheese to a dip before I started this journey.
The cottage cheese does give this dip a nice thickness. Mixing it with the mayonnaise and the sour cream also ensures that it is very creamy.
The parsley, onion and chives give the dip a nice flavor. The hot pepper sauce gives it a little kick.
Overall it was a nice dip. Not my favorite, but certainly not the worst.
HERB DIP
3/4 Cup Cottage Cheese
1/2 Cup Mayonnaise
1/4 Cup Sour Cream
2 Tablespoons Chopped Parsley
1 Tablespoon Chopped Chives
1 Tablespoons Grated Onion
1 Clove Garlic, Crushed
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Dash Hot Pepper Sauce
In a small bowl combine all ingredients. Blend in a food processor until smooth if desired. Chill until ready to use.
