Thick Bread

It seems like whenever I make a bread with peanut butter in it, the bread turns out super thick.

This bread is very thick, or hearty.

Don’t get me wrong, it doesn’t taste bad. It actually tastes pretty good.

And it is definitely filling!

The bread has a nice wheaty peanut butter taste. The raisins add just enough of a pop of sweetness.

You will definitely need to spread butter on the bread to eat it. And might I recommend serving it with a nice tall glass of milk. . .

OATMEAL AND PEANUT BUTTER BREAD

1 Cup Flour

1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour

1 Cup Oats

3 Teaspoons Baking Powder

1/2 Teaspoon Salt

1 1/2 Cups Milk

1/2 Cup Peanut Butter

1/4 Cup Honey

3 Tablespoons Oil

2 Eggs

1 Cup Raisins

In a large mixing bowl combine flours, oats, baking powder and salt. Add milk gradually to peanut butter, stirring to blend well. Add honey, oil, and eggs, beat well. Add to flour mixture, stirring just enough to moisten. Stir in raisins. Turn into a greased loaf pan. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool in pan.
