I will start by saying that the marinade has great flavor. You get a little citrus from the orange juice, and a nice savory flavor from the package meat marinade.

Unfortunately the steaks were really tough.

I think this was in part because of the cheaper cut of steak. I think this was exacerbated by the length of cooking time.

I know that if you have a less expensive cut of meat cooking for an extended period of time can soften the meat up. These steaks were too thin for that to work.

I would like to try this recipe again but without cutting the meat into steaks. I think it would turn out much better as a roast.
KOREAN BAKED STEAK
1/3 Cup Sesame Seeds
1 Package Meat Marinade
½ Cup Orange Juice
3 Tablespoons Oil
½ Cup Finely Chopped Green Onions
1 Clove Garlic, Minced
2 Teaspoons Sugar
3 to 4 Pounds Bottom Round Steak, cut 1 Inch Thick
In a heavy skillet, brown sesame seeds over low heat, stirring constantly. Add package of marinade. Pour into a blender and whir until seeds are pulverized. Pour dry marinade mixture into a 9x13 baking pan. Add orange juice, oil, onions, garlic and sugar. Blend thoroughly. Marinade will be thick. Slash fat edges of steak. Place in meat marinade; turn to coat. Marinate 15 minutes, turning several times. Bake in same pan uncovered in a 400 degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes. Slice meat into slices and serve topped with marinade.
