Tasty Hot Drink

Another drink mix – they really did love their drink mixes in the MidCentury!

This mix is very similar to the other drink mix I made a few months back – the Calico Tea.

This mix is a bit more subtle though. It isn’t quite so acidic as the other.

You do get the orange flavor from the Tang, and a hint of the lemon from the lemonade mix.

Adding the sugar gives it a bit of sweetness that is nice.

It does have a nice soothing effect on the throat. I think this would be a great drink for when you are feeling a little under the weather.

Not that it wouldn’t be great anytime . . .

INSTANT RUSSIAN TEA

1 Cup Instant Powdered Tea

2 Cups Tang

3 Ounces Lemonade Mix

1 ½ Cups Sugar

½ Teaspoon Ground Cloves

½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon.

Gently mix all ingredients. Spoon into Screw top jar. To serve, spoon 3 rounded teaspoonfuls of the mix into a cup. Fill with boiling water and stir.
