This is a very simple recipe.
I used the sauce to make the Charcoal Broiled Chicken.
The sauce imparts a ton of flavor in the marinade process.
The sauce is tart from the lemon juice and mustard. The Tabasco gives it a little spiciness.
The ketchup and sugar give the sauce a bit of sweetness.
I used it to marinate the chicken, then brushed it one as I cooked the chicken.
But I do think you could heat the sauce and serve it over cooked chicken or beef.
A nice versatile recipe.
GOLDEN EMBER SAUCE
3/4 Cup Oil
1/4 Cup Melted Butter
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1 Tablespoon Prepared Mustard
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Salt
1 Teaspoon Paprika
1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
2 Teaspoons Grated Onion
2 Cloves Garlic
1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Teaspoon Tabasco
1/4 Cup Ketchup
Place all ingredients in a canning jar. Seal and shake well. Let stand several hours before using.
