Tart Cocktail

I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this cocktail. I was a little surprised it had raw egg whites in it to be honest.



I think people in the Mid Century had a different idea about eating raw eggs. I don’t think it was such a stigma as it is now.



It was amazing to me that the egg whites mixed so well with the other ingredients. They were not at all evident in the final cocktail. But they did help turn the cocktail into a lovely white color.



The lemon juice made this cocktail very tart. I used lemon slices to garnish the final product.



I added just a touch of simple syrup to my cocktail. It helped smooth it out a bit.



If you like tart gin drinks - you will love this.



WHITE LADY

1 1/2 Jiggers Lemon Juice

1 Jigger Cointreau

2 Egg Whites

4 1/2 Jiggers Gin


Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into chilled glasses.
