I wasn’t exactly sure what this recipe was going to turn out as. But, I liked the ingredients, so though why not give it a try!
It is a very sweet dessert. Almost fudge like in consistency.
Cut into squares it does have that fudge feel.
The graham cracker crumbs give the base layer a little heftier consistency than fudge. Almost like the bottom of a bar cookie.
The nuts and the coconut give the squares a little crunch.
The milk icing layer provides a lovely white layer to break up the chocolate.
For the top layer I used dark unsweetened chocolate. I thought a touch of the bitter chocolate would cut the sweetness a little.
They squares set up beautifully and cut very easily.
But, you won’t want more than one square at a time - it is that sweet! So make sure you have people to share them with!
