Strange and Not That Good

This dish definitely has the curry flavor. Something about it just doesn’t work though.



Using frozen broccoli would not necessarily be my first choice. The frozen broccoli comes out a bit mushy. I think it would have been better with fresh broccoli. Then you could get a nice crisp vegetables and it would give the dish some more texture.




The mushroom soup mixes well with the curry and other seasonings. You get a nice creamy curry type sauce.



The chicken didn’t cook great. I think it would have been better to cut the chicken into strips or bite size pieces.



Overall the dish had a strange flavor. I really wanted to like it. I just didn’t. . .



CHICKEN BROCCOLI CURRY BAKE

10 Ounces Frozen Broccoli Pieces

4 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

4 Chicken Breasts

1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup

1 Tablespoon Curry Powder

½ Teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 Medium Onion, Chopped

Salt and Pepper To Taste


Thaw broccoli and pat dry. Heat Worcestershire sauce in a medium skillet and lightly brown chicken in sauce. Grease a small baking dish and cover the bottom with the broccoli. Pour ½ the can of soup over the broccoli. Sprinkle with onions, curry and garlic powder. Place chicken over broccoli and cover with remaining soup. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with foil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
