I made this dressing to serve with the Stuffed Shrimp. I think it would be a fabulous dressing to serve with many things.
Using the heavy cream as the base makes this dressing so very creamy. I opted to whip the cream by hand. This just seemed easier than getting out the mixer.
I think there are a lot of people out there who do not realize how easy it is to whip cream. The whisking process is quite simple.
The heavy cream goes from a liquid to a solid in a matter of minutes. Whisking by hand allows you to control the consistency a lot easier in my opinion. Since this was a dressing, I didn’t want it to be too thick.
Four tablespoons seemed like a lot of horseradish, but with the amount of dressing made it actually works.
I do love a homemade dressing. They always seem to have more depth and flavor than a store bought dressing.
The dressing is smooth and creamy but also a little spicy. We really enjoyed it!
