I try to accompany the weird food night dish with a recipe I think will be perfectly normal. I thought this would be the one to balance out my Meatball Pancakes.
I was wrong.
I think the bread crumbs messed up the whole dish.
The ham, rice and tomatoes all seemed fine. Those things go together.
The celery salt was a little strange, but not too outlandish.
But the bread crumbs - they just didn’t work. They made the whole dish seem grainy.
That’s the best way I can describe it. The rice was grainy, crunchy - and not in a good way - and overall just thick and sticky.
So my safe dish turned out not so great. And the weird dish was a winner. Go figure!
