Sloppy Joe Feel

This dish really feels like a sloppy Joe. They are delicious and messy!

Unlike sloppy Joe’s there is no tomato sauce in the recipe. The ketchup fills in for this, you get the tangy tomato taste, but it is more subtle.

You do get a lovely vinegar, lemon juice tartness in the beef. The beef comes out savory with not too much sweetness from the brown sugar.

I think I would add a little spicy to the recipe if I were to make it again. A little Tabasco or red pepper flake would give it just enough of a kick to be interesting.

Overall a good dish. It is quick and easy and would be a great option for a weeknight dinner.
