Simple Side

I am not usually a fan of short cut recipes. I think some things are worth putting a little time in to.

Of course, you don’t always have the time for that. Sometimes you need a shortcut recipe because you just simply do not have the time.

This recipe only takes about 15 minutes to make. So it is perfect for a weeknight dinner.

The frozen broccoli comes already cut, so you save some time there. The soup provides the creaminess an au gratin provides.

Sprinkling the crumbs on top gives the dish a little crunch.

And of course, cheese.

I did not realize how quickly this dish would be done. I ended up slipping it in the oven to stay warm while I finished the other components of the meal.

This helped the cheese melt quite nicely.

I do think the dish could use a pinch of salt. But other than that, it wasn’t bad at all.

BROCCOLI AU GRATIN

20 Ounces Frozen Broccoli

21 Ounces Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup

1/2 Cup Buttered Toasted Bread Crumbs

1/2 Cup Grated Sharp Cheese

Cook broccoli, drain. Bring soup to a boil, add broccoli. Place in a casserole dish. Sprinkle with crumbs and cheese. Serve hot.
