This recipe is super easy to make!
I was a little nervous about using uncooked rice. There is nothing worse than half cooked rice!
Thankfully, the rice cooked beautifully! It was a little on the al dente side, but not at all mushy or too hard.
I did sprinkle the dish with salt. When added with the ham it was the perfect amount of seasoning.
The only thing I would change would be to add some butter. The rice definitely needed butter!
Overall a nice dish. It was simple and easy, and fairly quick.
Ham and Rice Scallop
1 Cup Uncooked Rice
2 Slices Ham
Salt
3 Cups Milk
Cut ham into serving pieces. Arrange rice and ham in alternate layers in a greased baking dish. Use rice for the bottom and top layers. Season to taste. Add milk. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
