My father was in town and joined us for dinner. I wanted to serve a cocktail and pulled this recipe out at the last minute.
It is a very simple recipe, not many ingredients.
The grenadine adds the needed sweetness to the dry vermouth. Vermouth can be very dry!
The carbonated water gives the cocktail just enough fizz.
And who doesn’t love ending a drink with a boozy cherry. . .
Mixing the water in gives the cocktail a lovely pink color, hence the cocktail name.
Really this was an enjoyable cocktail. I didn’t think it was very strong with the alcohol until I stood up after dinner!
