Rich and Creamy and Decadent

This frosting is amazing!



The butter mixes smooth and creamy and adds that little bit of extra flavor. The milk makes it super creamy and rich.



Sifting the cocoa and powdered sugar ensures that there are no lumps. No one wants lumpy frosting! This is a great technique!



I used this frosting with the Hand Me Down Chocolate Cake Recipe. One full recipe was not quite enough to get a good covering for the cake and the middle. The cakes were 9 inch rounds. The recipe would more than likely work great for two 8 inch rounds.



CREAMY COCOA FROSTING

2 Cups Powdered Sugar

2/3 Cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

½ Cup Butter, Softened

6 Tablespoons Milk

1 Teaspoon Vanilla


Sift cocoa and powdered sugar together. Beat 1 cup of the sugar mixture into the softened butter. Add remaining sugar mixture alternating with milk and vanilla until frosting is smooth and spreadable.
