My husband absolutely loves spaghetti. He would eat some form of pasta every night if he could.
I like pasta, but I certainly don’t want it every night.
Usually, when I make pasta sauce it is an all day affair. I prefer homemade sauce that cooks low and slow. And I usually make enough to can or freeze extra for later.
This was a nice alternative as it really doesn’t take much time at all.
I did find the sauce to be a little on the thin side. You will definitely want to serve it with some bread to sop up the leftover sauce!
I did think the sauce was a little basic too. The hamburger and sausage so add a little extra flavor. But I still thought it needed something more.
I ended up picking some oregano and basil from the garden and throwing that in. I think it added the needed missing ingredient to the sauce.
My husband and daughter absolutely loved it though!
