Quick and Easy Fudge

Candy making is a skill, this recipe takes some of the risk out though.

You really do need to keep the heat level at low or you will burn the ingredients. If you burn the ingredients, when you add the chocolate the mixture will immediately harder and spoil.

Yes, I burned the ingredients the first time! And yes, I got a hot blob of chaulky fudge. It just didn’t work! And yes, my heat level was closer to medium hot.

The second attempt was more successful! Keeping the heat level at low it takes awhile to get to the boiling point.

The wet ingredients do change color as you cook to a nice caramel. When you add the chocolate, I recommend doing it in increments. This ensures that you can completely melt the chocolate pieces before adding more.

The fudge is a soft firm and stays that way. It has a lovely chocolate taste with just a hint of peanut butter.

Also, I lined my pan with foil and greased the foil. This made getting it out of the pan super easy.

Having made the other type of fudge, this was incredibly easy! And it tastes so good I had to send it out of my house in fear of eating it all!

FABULOUS FUDGE

1 ¼ Cups Sugar

¼ Cup Peanut Butter

½ Cup Evaporated Milk

1 Cup Marshmallow Fluff

½ Teaspoon Salt

1 Cup Chocolate Pieces

Combine sugar, peanut butter, milk, marshmallow fluff, and salt in a saucepan. Stir over low heat until blended. Continue stirring until mixture comes to a full boil. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly to avoid burning. Add Chocolate, stir until chocolate is melted. Pour into a greased 8 x 8 pan. Cool. Cut into squares.
