This is a simple recipe that packs a lot of flavor!
It really is pretty simple. Brown some meat and then simmer. That’s pretty much it.
The spices go well together.
I admit I doubled the chili powder amount. There just didn’t seem to be enough with just ¼ teaspoon. Actually, I added a whole teaspoon so there’s that.
I served this topped with sour cream and shredded cheddar cheese.
Very good chili! My husband says it's the best I've ever made. . .
ELAINE’S CHILI
1 Garlic Clove, Minced
1 Cup Chopped Onion
2 Tablespoons Cooking Oil
1 Pound Hamburger
1 Large Can Diced Tomatoes
1 Can Kidney Beans
¼ Teaspoon Cumin
¼ Teaspoon Chili Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
¼ Teaspoon Pepper
Sauté garlic and onion in fat. Add hamburger and cook until browned. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 ½ hours.
