I don’t think I will ever be able to make this recipe again. It was too good!

Basically, you make peanut butter candy. You will absolutely need a candy thermometer. This is essential to get the mixture to the right temperature.


If you don’t get the mixture to the correct temperature, it will not set correctly.


I lined my pan with parchment paper, then coated it with butter. This really helped when it was time to get the candy out of the dish.


I did not have coating chocolate. I mixed some dark chocolate morsels with a little cream while melting. This gave it the correct consistency to coat the top.

Once the chocolate was on top, I chilled it in the refrigerator for several hours.

The end result was basically a Reese’s Cup.
And it was delicious. Absolutely amazing! And completely addicting!
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BARS
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Milk
3 Tablespoons Peanut Butter
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Melted Coating Chocolate
Place the sugar, milk and peanut butter in a saucepan and cook, stirring constantly, to 240 degrees. Remove from heat and add the vanilla. Beat until the mixture begins to harden. Pour into a buttered pan. When cold, cover with chocolate. When firm cut into bars.
