Not What I Expected

My daughter picked this recipe. Honestly we thought it would either be awful or maybe just okay. Boy were we wrong!

The combination of hamburger and pork gives the meat layers a lovely flavor. Pork adds the much needed fat and flavor the meat.

The combination of bread crumbs, milk and egg are pretty traditional for a meat loaf. Although the vinegar was new for me.

The meat layer does indeed have great flavor and is very nicely seasoned.

I did not add the onion and MSG to the rice while it was cooking. I simply misread the recipe there.

I think it turned out all right though. I did add them, just a little later.

The rice layer is also well seasoned. The egg helps it to stay intact.

The overall loaf was actually pretty amazing. It had a ton of flavor. The rice was soft and delicious.

I served the loaf with the Spinach Balls. It was quite a lovely meal. I definitely recommend trying it!
