Not My Favorite

Okay, so to start, I probably didn’t like this dish because of the processed cheese. It’s Velveeta. I do not like Velveeta. Never have, probably never will.

Secondly, the soup was strange. So was the curry powder.

The dish had a bleh, one note flavor to it. No matter what bite you took, it all tasted the same.

If you like processed cheese, you probably wouldn’t mind it. I think I have been eating fairly natural food for so long that when I have something chemically made, it just doesn’t taste right to my palette.

I do try really hard to make everything from scratch. We don’t eat out of boxes.

This dish felt like a boxed dish.

Nobody saved the left overs, so I think the family shared my opinion.

Ham and Noodle Casserole

8 Ounces Noodles

1 1/2 Cups Chopped Cooked Ham

1 Cup Grated Sharp Processed Cheese

10 1/2 Ounces Condensed Cream Of Chicken Soup

1/2 Cup Milk

1/2 Teaspoon Curry Powder

2 Tablespoons Butter

Cook noodles until al dente. Combine ham and 3/4 cup cheese. Alternate layers of noodle and ham in a greased 1 quart baking dish. Mix soup, milk and curry. Pour over casserole. Sprinkle the top with remaining cheese and dot with butter. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
