I was hoping this dip would be full of flavor. And it is, sort of. It just has a weird consistency.
You don’t really taste the pickles, or the horseradish.
All you really taste is the texture of the cottage cheese. It is somehow grainy.
I served it with pretzel chips to dip with. The dip is pretty thick – almost hummus thick.
The recipe makes a lot of dip too. So there was a ton of it leftover.
It is unfortunately unremarkable.
WAGON WHEEL DIP
1 Small Onion, Quartered
½ Cup Sweet Pickles, Cut in Chunks
1 Green Bell Pepper
12 Ounces Cream Cheese
1 Pint Cottage Cheese
¼ Cup Mayonnaise
¼ Cup Ketchup
2 Teaspoons Horseradish
1 Teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 Teaspoon Salt
½ Teaspoon Paprika
½ Teaspoon Pepper
½ Teaspoon Powdered Garlic
Lock bowl in position and insert steel blade into food processor. Place onion, pickles, and green peppers in bowl and process to a coarse chop. Add remaining ingredients and process to blend.
