I enjoy cocktails with cranberry juice. I like the tartness. Usually I drink a Cape Cod – which is vodka, cranberry juice and a lime twist. It’s simple yes, but it’s good.
I think I have said before that I have never really been a gin fan. I think gin is too dry. There must be some strange magical thing that happens as you age though, because the older I get, the less I mind gin. It’s better than I ever gave it credit for.
This is a great cocktail for a crown. I cut the recipe in half and served it in a pitcher, but you could easily serve this in your punch bowl for a party.
The lemonade concentrate is great because it gives you an ice element, and a bit of sweetness to cut the tart cranberry juice.
Overall a nice cocktail! I’m thinking Christmas party – this in a punch bowl for it’s lovely red color – maybe adding some cranberries . . . .
