Interesting Idea

I will start by saying that I really don’t like olives. So I didn’t eat these. I am rely on my husband and daughter to describe how these turned out.

The batter is interesting. There really isn’t much to it.

Your butter does need to be soft or this will not work. It isn’t really a batter just a combination of ingredients.

The “batter” is very moldable with your hands. So it is easy to mold it around the olives.

They bake nicely, with a little bit of golden color. More than likely this is due to the cheese.

So the flavor according to my husband is a bit off putting. It is cheesy in the dough, and salty due to the olives.

My daughter didn’t even finish the one she took. She thought the olives were dry and the pimientos were all shriveled. She didn’t like them at all.

So take it as you will, my people didn’t like them. . .

OLIVE CHEESE NUGGETS

¼ Pound Shredded Cheddar Cheese

¼ Cup Soft Butter

¾ Cup All Purpose Flour

1/8 Teaspoon Salt

½ Teaspoon Paprika

2 to 3 Dozen Stuffed Green Olives

Blend together cheese and butter. Mix with dry ingredients to form a dough. Shape dough around olives. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
