Lots of people like mocha flavored coffee. I like my coffee to taste like coffee and coffee.
I always find it amusing standing in line behind people at a coffee shop – pumps of this, mixtures of that. Mocha what not. . .
The mix is very easy to make, really just blending a few ingredients together and processing them into a powder.
I used boiling water and served it hot. I think it would be very easy to make this an iced drink as well.
You get the chocolate flavor pretty strongly. The cinnamon is just a hint, and the coffee flavor not so much. It tastes like a supped up hot chocolate to me, not coffee, but my daughter (who likes all the froufrou drinks) thought it was great.
This would be a great drink mix to give as gifts. Pour some of the powder into small canning jars. Attach a label with instructions. Voila! Simple homemade gift for coworkers, bosses, teachers. . . .
