CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 1/8 Cups Sifted Flour
1/4 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1/2 Cup Shortening
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
1 Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla
8 Ounces Semisweet Chocolate Pieces
1/2 Cup Chopped Walnuts
Sift flour, soda and salt together. Cream shortening and sugars together. Add egg and vanilla. Blend thoroughly. Add sifted ingredients. Fold in nuts and chocolate. Drop from a teaspoon onto a greased baking sheet. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
