Dinner For A Cold Night . . . .

I really enjoy lamb, but I enjoy it most medium rare. This lamb does come out more well done. To me this seems like a waste of good meat!

That being said, my husband and daughter really enjoyed the meal. They aren’t quite so picky about their lamb doneness.

This does have the comfort food feel though. It is something that you would want to enjoy on a cold winter night. It’s filling and immensely satisfying.

Perhaps the chops could be added a little later in the cook. The cloves also felt a little strong. So should I make this again, I would half the cloves and add the lamb later.

YORKSHIRE HOT POT

4 Lamp Chops

1 Clove Garlic, Minced

4 Small Whole Onions

4 Medium Potatoes, Halved

2 Cups Frozen Green Beans

¼ Teaspoon Ground Cloves

2 Teaspoons Salt

1/8 Teaspoon Black Pepper

1 Can Cream of Mushroom Soup

½ Can Water

Paprika

Heat fat in Dutch oven. Brown chops in garlic. Tuck onions and potatoes around the chops. Add green beans, cloves, salts, pepper, soup and water. Cover and cook slowly for 1 hour in a 350 degree oven. Sprinkle with paprika.
