This was absolutely delicious!
I have made dirty rice many times before. This was a little different, but the end result was much like the other recipes I have tried.
The bread crumbs and milk was a new thing for me. Soaking the bread crumbs in the milk makes it almost like a paste.
This paste mixes into the rice making it heartier and more like a stuffing texture.
I used a spicy bulk sausage. This gave it a little bit of a spicy taste.
The thyme and sage really come through in the dish. The spices give it a great flavor that is different from the regular rice dish.
The dish is very filling, very hearty and overall delicious. I will definitely be making this dish again!
