Sour cream and onion soup mix are classics and go together so very well. I have never heated them up before though.

The egg yolks provide a nice creaminess to the mixture. The Lemon juice gives you just a touch of acid.

This was by far the most popular of the sauces I made for the fondue party. Everyone loved it.

It worked beautifully with the vegetables, especially the potatoes.

It provided a nice creamy sauce for the meats and seafoods!
SAUCE ROYALE
1 Cup Sour Cream
1 Package Dry Onion Soup Mix
3 Egg Yolks
1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
1/2 Teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and White Pepper To Taste
Blend sour cream and soup mix; add egg yolks, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce and seasonings. Cook over a low flame, stirring constantly, until sauce starts to thicken lightly. Do not boil. Remove from heat and continue stirring as sauce thickens. Cool.
