Dainty Cookie

This is an interesting way to make a cookie.

The batter is quite flavorful. There is a nice combination of the orange rind and the nutmeg. The orange juice also adds to the flavor in the cookie itself.

The strips are cut quite small, which I think is a good thing. They can easily be finished in a few bites.

The glaze is the special part of the cookie. The honey, butter and cream blend into a nice smooth paste. The cinnamon gives it a little spice.

Brushing the glaze onto the cookies while they are warm allows the glaze to soak in to the cookie.

The glaze does stay fairly soft once it is cooled. Unfortunately that means it stays a little sticky, but that is easily overlooked.

The cookies are dainty, but delicious!
