My daughter recently left our home to attend college. Being our only child, it feels strange to not have her around all the time. My house is very quite!
I am trying to bring some of home to her in her dorm, so I have been sending care packages every few weeks.
So this week I made a variety of different cookies to send. No - I didn’t send all of them! Just a selection of a few different kinds.
Chocolate chip cookies are a classic that I honestly think everyone loves.
This recipe was lovely in that it had brown sugar. I really love what the brown sugar does for the end result.
The cookies have a lovely dark color and a bit of extra flavor from the molasses in the sugar.
The cookies are also very soft and seemed to stay that way for some time.
So if you are looking for a classic cookie recipe that has great flavor - this is it.
