Boozy Cake

I can’t honestly say I have every had a Harvey Wallbanger. After trying this cake I think I will have to make one.



The vanilla pudding amps up the plain yellow cake mix to give it a lovely smooth and vanilla flavor.



The shortening adds just the right amount of fat to give you a very moist cake.



The orange juice provides a hint of acidity. The valiant gives a nice flavor as well.



The vodka gives you a bit of a boozy taste. Of course the alcohol bakes out, but you can still taste it.




The end result is a super moist cake that is packed with flavor.



Sprinkling the top with powdered sugar gives just enough sweetness.



It was lovely.


HARVEY WALLBANGER CAKE 1

1 Package Yellow Cake Mix

1 Package Instant Vanilla Pudding

1/2 Cup Shortening, Melted

4 Eggs

1/4 Cup Vodka

1/4 Cup Galliano

3/4 Cup Orange Juice


Mix all ingredients together and beat for 4 minutes. Pour batter into a well greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Dust with confectioners’ sugar once cooled.
