The Story
I am passionate about cooking, sewing, crochet, knit, and pretty much all things an old fashioned homemaker should know. I offer some of the products I make in my store - please check it out!

I started cooking at a very young age, and have tried to expand my horizons since then. When I got married in 2005 I made it a goal to make a different dish for dinner for the first year. I achieved that goal and set a very high bar for my husband!

Since then, I have learned to can and preserve. My husband is an avid gardener, so there is always something to save. I take pride in not having to buy things from the grocery store if I don't have too.

I learned to sew in my early teens. This became a passion for me. I even dabbled with the idea of becoming a designer for a short while. At 16 I started interning for a Custom Bridal Shop and learned so much about pattern making and sewing delicate fabrics. I also learned how to make alterations at this time. All this design knowledge has come in handy lately as my 14 year old daughter loves to Cosplay. I make all her costumes.

I taught myself to knit and crochet within the last ten years. I watched a lot of videos on www.thecrochetcrowd.com - Mikey has taught me so much.

I am always looking for new ways to gain knowledge and skills!
